This rural tourism space is located in the village of Goães, Amares county, in the heart of Minho.

Consisting of 3 houses. The House of the Cereals, T1, the House of the Linho, T2, and the House of the Lavoura, T3.

The first protected area and the only national park in Portugal is about 20 km away: the Peneda-Gerês National Park.

The banks of the Cávado River can be found in a 20-minute walk between the village and pine forests.

In the vicinity you can visit the monasteries of the Abbey, Santa Maria de Bouro, S. Bento of the Porta Aberta and Rendufe. The Recantos in Portela are close to Caldelas (and its spas), Vila Verde, Póvoa de Lanhoso and Vieira do Minho. The nearest cities are Braga, Guimarães and Porto, with its airport Francisco Sá Carneiro.

In this resort you will find a space where you can enjoy the surrounding nature, combining rest, tranquility and comfort with adventure, discovery and history of the region.

The Recantos in Portela are an integral part of Quinta da Portela, which has a plot area of 62,000 m2 where you can walk, family picnics, enjoy a maintenance circuit and discover the citrus orchards that characterize this region of Minho.

The bucolic elements such as the mills, the brooks, a large granary, a dryland and a threshing floor can be revisited.

The nucleus of houses preserves the original moth with inscription that refers to the nineteenth century.

Quinta da Portela stands out for being planted with some of the best specimens of citrus (among other types of traditional cultures), and has already achieved several distinctions such as the award of "Amares' best orange."

The landscape that houses the farmhouse retains several hundred-year-old trees, especially olive trees of high and majestic size. All of this environment is especially environmentally-minded, with its fruit crops certified in Organic Production Mode (MPB).

When booked in advance we can take pedestrian walks to the river and the region, especially on the pedestrian paths of Gerês as the well-known Geira Romana.

Houses

Cereais House

Reconstructed from a traditional rainforest, it is a T1 with two floors. On the first floor there is a bedroom with a private bathroom; on the ground floor is composed of kitchen and living room.

Linho House

A former tenement house, it is now reduced to a third of its original size and now appears as a two-story T2. On the first floor is composed of two bedrooms with private bathroom; on the ground floor there is a kitchen, a common room and a bathroom.

Lavoura House

Old house of farmhouse of the farm, the typology of this house is a T3 with two floors. On the first floor there is a common hall and three bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The ground floor has an entrance hall, a kitchen, a large common room and a bathroom.
