QUINTA DO GALGO

Just 25 km from the Peneda-Gerês National Park.

Quinta do Galgo, a rural farmhouse of 12 hectares near Braga, has about 14 buildings surrounded by cultivated lands and picturesque hills, with several lodgings able to receive the visitor, with all the comfort and hospitality of this region.

The manor house, Casa de Lajes, has rooms of the XV century and is believed to have been erected in the ruins of an old Roman village in the center of the Minho region, with quick access to Gerês, Guimarães, Viana do Castelo, Porto and Braga .

The chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony was built in 1725 and from the facade to the altarpiece, passing through all the kind of sacred art that is in it, we can say that it is magnificent!

In this farm is produced, among other things, wine and olive oil. There is on this property a fabulous olive tree over 1000 years old! There is also a forest between the chapel and the pool where you will surely enjoy a beautiful walk.

The manor houses have been restored for rural tourism since the 90s, have 2 apartments and 6 houses that provide comfort and amenities so that nothing is lacking in the countryside.

The farmhouse also has a "games room" where you can relax with a game of snooker, table football and table tennis. There is also a dining room where we can prepare regional food for groups.
